Mezzo-soprano Nicole Rizzo is a performer from Upstate New York who finds joy in sharing opera with new audiences. Season highlights include Le Prophète with Bard SummerScape, Faust with Berkshire Opera Festival, and Orphée aux enfers (Junon) with Bard College Conservatory at the Fisher Center. She holds a Bachelor of Music from Boston Conservatory at Berklee, where she performed in several opera productions, including The Turn of the Screw (Mrs. Grose), The Consul (Vera Boronel), and Dialogues des Carmélites (Mère Jeanne). Nicole has served as an Affiliate Artist at Union College, performed with Boston Lyric Opera, and gave a recital at the Sembrich Museum in Bolton Landing, NY with pianist Michael Clement. Other recent performances include Roméo et Juliette (Stéphano) with the Brevard Music Center, A Little Night Music (Charlotte/Petra) with Opera in the Ozarks, and Cendrillon (Dorothée cvr.) with Promenade Opera Project. Nicole is currently a student of the Graduate Vocal Arts program at Bard College Conservatory.
